The Featured Artists' Coalition campaigns for the protection of performers' and musicians' rights. We want all artists to have more control of their music and a much fairer share of the profits it generates in the digital age. We speak with one voice to help artists strike a new bargain with record companies, digital distributors and others, and are campaigning for specific changes

No one knows what the structure of the music industry will look like in future. But all artists face the same challenges in today’s digital world, so we need to speak with one voice to help artists strike a new bargain with record companies, digital distributors and others. Together, the Featured Artists’ Coalition will stand up for all artists by engaging with government, music and technology companies, and collection societies, arguing for fair play and, where necessary, exposing unfair practices. Find out more about the specific changes we are seeking through our campaign.

As a first step we have written a Charter which sets out our broad aims and how we will achieve them. Dozens of artistes have signed up and we urge you to do so. Among those already onboard are Radiohead, The Verve, Jools Holland, Robbie Williams and Billy Bragg. Digital technology has given artists the opportunity to control their future - we need to seize it now.

Ελληνικό κομμάτι διαγωνίζεται στον εθνικό τελικό για τη σουιδική συμμετοχή στη Εurovision φέτος (ESC 2009)...

Η Σοφία με το κομμάτι 'Αλλα...

Αυτό θα πει να θέλει κάποιος πολύ...

Παρά το λαικοφανές χρώμα στην εμφανώς ακατέργαστη φωνή (που κάποιοι φίλοι το χουν αποκαλέσει "σκυλλέ"), η κοπέλλα στέκει επαγγελματικά και κερδίζει τις εντυπώσεις με την άνεσή της στη σκηνή, πλαισιωμένη από μια άψογη παραγωγή... σωστή τονικά (σχεδόν παντού) με την ενέργειά της υποστηρίζει καλά το κατα τ'άλλα pop-άκι τύπου antique/Παπαρίζου, με έναν πολύ επαγγελματικό τρόπο. Η κίνησή της μου αρέσει ιδιαίτερα...

Για όσους έχουν να πουν κακίες για τα ελληνικά της θα πω πως τραγουδάει καλύτερα ελληνικά απ'όσο κάποιοι έλληνες τραγουδούν στα αγγλικά...

Εμένα πάντως δε μ'ενοχλεί πάντως η προφορά!

Η ενορχήστρωση είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα και συνολικά μ'αρέσει! ;-)

Και μόνο που έκανε την απόπειρα με τον ελληνικό στίχο, η ομάδα της αξίζει συγχαρητήρια!

Λετε να πάει με ελληνικό στίχο η Σουηδία φέτος, ενώ Ελλάδα και Κύπρος εκπροσωπούνται με αγγλόφωνα κομμάτια; Ενδιαφέρον!!

A song with greek lyrics on the final national contest of Sweeden for this year's Εurovision contest...
The singer is apparently "Sofia" with the song "Alla"...
Sofia is singing much better greek than some greeks sing in english... Despite the "folky" sound in her interpretation of a pop-song with injunctions of folk melodic lines, she delivers a professional and well-presented performance, in a high-Q live production, singling live and supporting pretty well the song...

I like a lot the arrangement of the song and I must admit that as a whole it works for me!

Good luck Sofia!

Imagine Sweden going on the ESC 2009 with a greek song while Greece/Cyprus are represented in the english language :-)
